Kimberley Walsh thinks Gary Barlow will make a “fantastic” ‘X Factor’ judge.
The Girls Aloud singer – who is rumoured to be co-presenting spin-off show ‘The Xtra Factor’ alongside Radio 1 DJ Matt Edmondson – believes employing the Take That star is a “smart move” on series boss Simon Cowell’s part.
She explained: “There aren’t many people who could replace Simon on ‘The X Factor’ but Gary Barlow can. He’s got his own record label, is an amazing songwriter and a fantastic singer so he’s got every base covered.
“It was a smart move on Simon’s part.”
Kimberley has also leant her backing to Kelly Rowland – who is believed to be taking up one of the female judging panel spots – saying it would be “great” to throw an American star into the mix.
Speaking in her OK! magazine column, she added: “I heard a rumour that Kelly Rowland would make the fourth judge. It’d be great to throw an American into the mix and she’s fabulous.
“The new line-up will be so exciting although I can’t believe Louis Walsh is still hanging on in there!”
